Even the LA Times is onto Your Shenanigans Anthropologie!

In the recent Anthro catalog, you know, the we’re-so-worldly-look-at-us-in-Peru one, there is a sort of holiday gifting section in the middle where I spied the books below and thought to myself, “Oh, nice, some books in a staggered shelf…whatevs!” I didn’t even think to look at the price because it didn’t seem like something that would be THAT expensive. This is where Anthro has such a huge sense of humor! They get me every time!

Then, this morning, our good friend IndieRockBakery sent us a link to an article on latimes.com.

This set of “rare” books costs over $2000. OVER TWO G’S!!!!!! That is so absurd! LAT gives a nice digital bitch-slap to Anthro and even lets readers know how to create their own for a serious fraction of the cost.

Nice work LAT!
